The Mystery
Moonshine’s owner, Mickey “Moonshine” Marcelo, has a serious problem.
A man named Daryl Oats, owner of the Hauling Oats Feed Store, has been found dead in Moonshine’s storeroom.
Normally that would mean calling the police…
…but with Prohibition in full swing, the last thing Moonshine wants is the authorities snooping around his establishment.
So before the cops arrive, he secretly assembles a group of investigators to help solve the crime.
That’s where you come in.
Guests will interview the suspects, examine the clues, and attempt to determine whodunnit before the police show up.
But beware…
Everyone has a motive.
Everyone has a secret.
And someone in the room is lying.

Since tonight’s mystery unfolds during the Roaring Twenties and the days of Prohibition, you are invited to step back in time! Dust off your flapper dresses, pinstripe suits, feather boas, and gangster hats and join the fun.
After the murderer has been revealed, we’ll hold a Best 1920’s Costume Contest to see which flapper or gangster takes home the prize!
Not feeling the urge to raid the costume closet? No worries—come dressed comfortably and enjoy watching the flappers and gangsters battle it out for the title of Best Dressed of the Speakeasy!
The Suspects You’ll Be Investigating
Mickey “Moonshine” Marcelo – Ray Stiles
Owner of Moonshine’s Speakeasy and a man who prides himself on running a lively establishment… discreetly. Mickey believes in providing “what the public needs,” especially during Prohibition. A murder in his place of business is very bad for business, so he is determined to solve the crime before the police begin asking questions.
Anna Sassine – Mimi Bryant
A mysterious woman from New York who has recently begun spending a great deal of time at Moonshine’s. She enjoys the cocktails — especially vodka — and carries herself with the confidence of someone used to getting her way. Some say she comes from a rather notorious family with powerful connections.
Allie Kat – Frances Henson
A fiery and glamorous lady of the night who once lived quite comfortably under the protection of Daryl Oats. But when a new woman entered the picture, Allie suddenly found herself pushed aside. Since then, she has made no secret of her anger… and revenge has been mentioned more than once.
Royal T. Flusch – Doug Bryant
By day, Royal sells women’s shoes at J.C. Penney. By night, he considers himself a high-stakes poker player and professional gambler… though his luck at the card table often runs cold. Rumor has it he owes Daryl Oats a rather substantial gambling debt.
Buck “Muggs” Shott – John Pastuszek
A tough businessman who supplies spirits to many of the area’s speakeasies. Muggs has helped keep Moonshine’s establishment stocked for years and takes great pride in his connections. When word spread that Daryl Oats had begun brewing his own liquor nearby, some say Muggs was not particularly pleased about the new competition.
Each of these suspects has a motive…
but only one of them is the murderer.
