'Twas the murder before Christmas and all through the house
No one was working, not Santa or his Spouse.
No stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
for a murderer was loose and death hung in the air.
Santa and the Mrs. were in the big room
That all the prime suspects were coming in to.
There was Dap, Vip and Foxworthy elf,
And Prisser the reindeer who was there by himself.
When out in the snow there arose such a clatter,
We ran to the window to see what was the matter.
It was Ebbie Smooge and to our surprise
Icy the Snowman was there by his side.
The die had been cast and the murder took place
for someone was no longer taking up breathing space.
Now Santa and the Mrs. needed to make clear,
That the murderer would be found and no one should fear.
So without further ado lets give it a try,
We’ll seek out the murderer and start questioning why.
